What is the best free Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware/Anti-Adware?

I have spybot search and destroy, but I was wondering if that was enough? I know that adware will slow down a computer immensely, so any programs that I can get to protect me is really appreciated.

avast does it all one version is free go to this site and click downloads and it should be the second one … avast is like none other ,… it actuall works right

First of all I would recommend switching your AV to Avast! Home Edition(free) or Avira Antivir Free(free)
Both have better detection rates and features

Spybot S&D isn’t the best antispyware program anymore and is outdated.
Try using Malwarebytes and/or superantispyware instead
A good way to get protected is first switch to Firefox from IE if you haven’t already
Then download the MyWot and Noscript addon
MyWot tells you if a site is good or bad(more accurate than mcafee siteadvisor)
Noscript can protect your against XSS and clickjacking attacks

avast is a good antivirus, and superantispyware
or spyware terminator are good antispyware

I run a combo of AVG Free, SpyBot S&D, and SuperAntiSpyware. SuperAntiSpyware actually seems to work better for some things compared to Spybot, so I recommend a combination of the two of them.

I have fixed about 10 PC’s with this infection in the past couple of weeks.
Antispyware (http://toptenantispyware.com) will detect it and get rid of it and its totally free for download.
If you can’t download it, get someone else to and burn it to CD or on to a pen drive and then run it on your PC.
just do not under any circumstances get your credit card out.
also, Registry tools(
) will get rid of any other traces of it. you can download it from the same place.
