Get a program like Ad-Aware from LavaSoft. There are others out there - Ad-Aware is just the first one that comes to midn for me. Below I have posted the Ad-Aware website. Also, some virus scanners (like McAfee) do spyware scans as well.

I came up with this link. Hope it helps. I have this spyware, Backweb, that I’ve tried to remove about a billion times. So I know what you’re going through.

try downloading spybot - search and destroy from download.com it should work, and it’s free

Spywarequake is a brand new spyware, just this week. None of the “general purpose” spy removers such as Spybot or Adaware can touch it yet. You will have to use this specialised techique shown here.
